The “Ghostbusters” are back…sort of.

Bill Murray made a rare “Ghostbusters”-related appearance by teaming up with co-stars Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts and director Ivan Reitman for a mini-reunion on “Today,” where they answered some questions from hardcore fan Al Roker.

In the video below, the group discuss the 1984 movie's enduring legacy, the frequent ad-libbing on set (“They hate this”) and using the hulking Ecto-1 as an excuse for real-life reckless driving.

Murray even touches on his notorious disinterest in the idea of a belated third film, saying, “It's really hard to recreate something that was so beautiful and so wonderful.”

There's nary a mention of M.I.A. producer-star Dan Aykroyd, who has been publicly butting heads with Murray for years. Fellow Ghostbuster Harold Ramis sadly passed away last year, and co-star Rick Moranis virtually retired from the public eye many years ago.

Though there won't be a proper threequel, the next thirty years will feature more “Ghostbusters,” beginning with the female-centric reboot from “Bridesmaids” director Paul Feig,

Aykroyd and Reitman are rumored to be producing, but it's unknown if any of the other original cast members will be involved.
